A chance meeting between Terence and the beautiful Guilietta one afternoon in a coffee shop in downtown Manhattan changes both of their lives in a way for which perhaps neither of them is prepared. She is married to a Senator, whom she realises is only married to her for convenience. His political aspirations are more of a priority than his wife, even to the point of putting her in harms way, because of his outspoken views.
Terence's marriage, too, seems to be not what it should, and his life has recently become complicated with Laurie, his assistant, declaring her love for him. As though all of this was not enough, Terence and his wife Cindy, move from London, England, to Miami Beach, Florida, where matters undoubtedly come to a head. Again, just when you think it can't get any more complicated, it does!
Another chance meeting, or so it appears, this time with the stunning Annie, has an effect on all Terence's sensibility. She was sent to distract him, but makes the mistake of falling in love with him. The situation needs to be addressed; otherwise, it could have far-reaching consequences for all involved. Someone wants Terence removed, permanently. Matters become difficult to say the least as the web of intrigue and love becomes tightly woven.

Although this story is fictional, it is based upon true events from my life, and more particularly, that of others I have known... In my 47 years on this earth, I've been fortunate enough to travel the world and beyond, staying in some of the finest places money can buy. I've driven the fastest cars, worn the most expensive clothing, and made love to the single most beautiful woman (in my mind!) to simply grace our planet...
A true love comes once in a lifetime. The second I saw her, despite not looking for it, was the moment I stopped searching for love. As the saying goes, "with love comes pain", just as "with hell comes paradise", and likewise, "with angels come demons..."
Despite what may be perceived, you do not have to be all macho and hard when it comes to emotions of the heart. Indeed, it shows a man's real strength, not a weakness, in his ability to express true emotions of love...
Anyway, this is my story, one that is not your average story, as I take you on this journey, through more than one continent; I hope you gain an insight into a love that everyone has the right to experience, no matter how painful it may be... Simply, it can only be described as... the measure of love...
It is very difficult not to get caught up in the cliche of thanking so many people; however, there are individuals that I should mention, as they never gave up on me as I had to go through the painful separation from the ones I love. You know exactly who you are and I will always be in your debt for the support you gave to me. - Melissa, you will always be my little princess, and not a day goes by that I do not miss you... "When g-d made you, the sun, moon and stars all got jealous..."
This book is dedicated to all those who are away from their loved ones and wish to express their true feelings for those individuals. Whatever pain and hurt you may be experiencing, you should know that we are all loved by someone, somewhere, and often by those we least expect. Please remember, "G-d determines who walks into our life. It's up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go..."
No matter how bad things appear, never lose sight of tomorrow, as we all have a future, and with determination, can achieve our dreams... "The man who makes no mistakes, does not usually make anything..." - As a result of my losing, I did in fact become a winner. It took me a long time to see it, when all I really had to do was open my eyes...
I was recently asked to define the meaning of the word 'love'... Simply, I sum it up as follows:
"Love isn't the person you can see yourself with, it's the person you cannot see yourself without..." But perhaps the best analogy of all is: - "The heart does many things, but the one thing it cannot do is lie..." Therefore, to those three very special people who have captured my heart... you know exactly who you are... the woman who is nothing short of my Eshet Chayil (a woman of valor), and two wonderful children, I simply say thank you for being the people that you are... for being my rock, perhaps without you ever even realising it... I love all three of you with absolutely everything, but then deep in your heart(s), you will clearly know that... Remember, "Nobody is perfect until you fall in love with them...", but more importantly... "I dropped a tear in the ocean, when they find it, I'll stop loving you..." - There really can be no more words... enough said!
